Charles Parkinson

🏛️ Charles Parkinsonborn in Singapore in 1954 to famed author of Parkinson’s Law, grew up dodging wizardly adoption offers from T.H. White in Alderney before relocating to Guernsey. He studied Law at Cambridge, became both an accountant and barrister (overachiever alert), then returned to Guernsey to wrangle politics starting in 2004.
When not governing, he moonlights as a historian, penning books like Lisia and Relatively Unusual, and researching ancient quirks from prehistory to the Middle Ages. He’s essentially Guernsey’s time-traveling statesman—armed with law, lore, and a suspiciously magical childhood.
